That’s right – because of our volunteers we’re able to build girls of courage, confidence, and character and prepare them for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure that every  G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ deserves. Although everything girls do in Girl Scouts is girl-led, mentors like you make all the difference in the quality of a girl’s experience and the amazing things she learns she is capable of accomplishing. Because when your G.I.R.L. spirit shines, hers does too.

Our Girl Scout volunteers, are the everyday hero with an extraordinary super power: you prepare girls for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure. Because of you, every girl has the opportunity to learn what she’s capable of accomplishing and reach for the stars. And with your mentorship and support, girls grow into the leaders and change-makers the world needs. Being a Girl Scout volunteer is one of the most powerful, rewarding journeys you’ll ever embark on.

That’s what makes National Volunteer Month so near and dear to our hearts! Every April, we celebrate the meaningful and inspiring contributions our volunteers make all year long. Because without their unwavering commitment, there would be no Girl Scouting. You’re the reason we can make a difference, and we’re forever grateful to all that you give to girls and Girl Scouting!

And on April 22, the celebration gets even bigger as we recognize volunteers on Girl Scout Leader’s Day. What can we say? We really love Girl Scout volunteers!
