The kick-off of our 2013 “Be Your Best You” fall product program is finally buzzing into your community! Beginning today, Girl Scouts will be taking orders through October 20 for delicious chocolate, candy, and nut products, as well as promoting literacy by offering over 700 magazine subscriptions – including over 80 digital options. Customers can also give back by donating to the Adopt-a-Soldier program and sending magazines and nut products to our women and men overseas.
The Fall Product Program isn’t just about selling fun magazines and delicious treats – like the new Girl Scout Flower Box Tin (filled with chocolate truffles), owl-shaped Dulce de Leche, and Skating Penguin Holiday Tin – it’s a great way to give troop bank accounts a boost before the 2014 cookie sale. Girls earn $1 profit for each candy or nut product they sell and each Adopt-a-Soldier donation they receive and $2.50 for each magazine subscription sold. Plus, each girl who sells 150+ items can choose from an iPod shuffle, four movie theatre tickets (including $20 for concessions), or $60 in Nutty Bucks. Each girl who sells 200+ can take her pick between $150 in Nutty Bucks or a brand-new Kindle Fire HD.
And, of course, each girl who participates in council product sales practices important life skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. These are talents that will not only serve her well as she succeeds as a troop superseller, but that will also support her in fulfilling her future potential.
All items sold through the “Be Your Best You” Fall Product Program will arrive in mid-November – just in time to be wrapped up as holiday gifts. Have you ever heard anything so sweet?
