Have you heard the buzz from Blossom the Bee? The Fall Product Program is a great way to fund your troop’s leadership activities and give your bank account a boost before the 2014 cookie sale. Girls earn $1 profit for each candy or nut product they sell and each Adopt-a-Soldier donation they receive and $2.50 for each magazine subscription sold. Plus, we’ll be offering new awesome recognitions – with two added levels!
Each girl who sells 150+ items can choose from an iPod shuffle, four movie theatre tickets (including $20 for concessions), or $60 in Nutty Bucks. Each girl who sells 200+ can take her pick between $150 in Nutty Bucks or a brand-new Kindle Fire HD.
The Fall Product Program also represents an important opportunity for girls to get a head start on funding their activities for the year and connect with others in cooperative learning. Girls can prepare by:
- Visiting www.WhatCanaGirlDo.com to learn more about the tasty items they’ll be offering and create a marketing flier using graphics provided by Ashdon Farms. Girls will love selling the new Girl Scout Flower Box Tin (filled with chocolate truffles), owl-shaped Dulce De Leche, and Skating Penguin Holiday Tin!
- Utilizing the QSP easy button at www.GetYourGirlPower.org to send emails that friends and family can use to purchase magazine subscriptions or pledge Nutty Promises.
- Promoting through social media—enticing status updates and tweets go a long way!
Contact your local Membership Specialist for training opportunities or access our online training video at www.GetYourGirlPower.org. Fall Product troop coordinators must be trained so that they are aware of all important changes and are sure to have required materials. Troop trainings will be held through October 3, 2013. The Fall Product Program runs from October 4 – 20, 2013.
